Wattle is the common name for many of the acacia species found in Australia.

There are around 1000 different species of wattle in Australia and the types of species present will need to be considered when determining the appropriate control method.

Control Tips

Gusto Woody and Noxious Weed Herbicide is registered to control wattle species (acacia spp.) except Corkwood Wattle.

When using Gusto in a Hand Gun Application:

  •  Spray to thoroughly wet all the foliage but not to cause run off
  • Spray when the plant is actively growing
  • Use a high quality non ionic wetting agent like Weed Forces Holdfast for best results helping to improve wetting and herbicide penetration of the plant foliage

  • DO NOT spray when the plant is stressed (i.e. Drought, physical damage, insect damage, frost)
