Product information

For the control of marshmallow and annual nettles in grass pastures, turf, and commercial areas. Also for use in tank mixtures with knockdown herbicides to speed up brownout and to improve control of marshmallow and certain other broadleaf weeds.

Where to Use

Fang 240 will severely damage or kill clover, lucerne and medics. So should not be used in pastures where maintaining these species is desired.

Weeds Controlled

Fang 240 controls the following weeds in Industrial/commercial areas as well as in areas prior to sowing winter and summer broadacre crops and starting a fallow:
  • Marshmallow
  • Common storksbill
  • Capeweed
  • Paterson's curse
  • Wild radish

Fang 240 controls the following weeds in Grass Pastures (Rough grass/turf areas):
 
  • Marshmallow 
  • Annual (stinging) nettles

Grass Pastures (Rough grass/turf areas): Only apply to seedling weeds at 2-10 leaf stage. These rates may only provide suppression of marshmallow. A mixing partner may be required to improve control. Refer to the product label for more details.

Industrial/commercial areas as well as in areas prior to sowing winter and summer broadacre crops and starting a fallow: ALWAYS apply Fang 240 with recommended label rates of a knockdown herbicides (e.g. Evict Bio 360). Refer to the product label for more details.

How to Apply

APPLICATION  FOR BOOM

Spray equipment should be properly calibrated to ensure correct and uniform application. Use a spray volume of 50 to 150 litres per hectare (minimum 80 L/ha for volunteer cotton).

 

**Experience has shown that increasing spray volumes can improve weed control**

 

 

APPLICATION FOR KNAPSACK, PNEUMATIC, HANDGUN SPRAYERS

When using Fang 240 as a spot spray, apply in sufficient water (minimum 500L/ha) to thoroughly wet all weed foliage to the point of run off. A spray volume of 500L to 1000L will usually be sufficient but higher volumes may be required for denser taler vegetation.

DO NOT apply by aerial application except for cotton desiccation.

Withholding Periods/Stock Restrictions

Grass Pastures: DO NOT GRAZE TREATED AREAS OR CUT FOR STOCKFOOD FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION.
